Kayden Kross is an intelligent, beautiful, self-possessed woman that blogger, Mike South, introduced me to in 2009. This was shot in 2010, before AIM–the industry’s clinic–was closed down.
In this interview, Kayden talks about Bukowski, improv classes, dating, working for Digital Playground and what she considers a “good” scene.
She recommends authors Malcolm Gladwell and Leonard Shlain; talks about the one porn question she hates, the responsibilities of getting into porn, Sammy The Rabbit, unions and the dangers of mainstream interviews.

There are so many different types of people in the world, and so there are many different types of women in the world, of course. Variety is the spice of life, and many people fall into categories in respect to their personalities, their culture, their willingness to try new things, their needs for security and love, etc… Kayden represents a group of women who don’t fit neatly into niches and categories, who take impromptu cross-country road trips to clear their head, who get into dancing jobs and can’t dance, who drive up to your door in a truck the size of a small house and then descend from said truck wearing a delicate summer dress with spaghetti straps and sandals. She is the kind of careful female with a big heart that probably finds herself constantly misunderstood in life, intermittently chasing adventure and then retreating into the cool recesses of her own mind for a comfort that can only come from a practiced meditation in knowing who you are. Kayden Kross is a lot like me.
